...the first time you've watched The Evil Dead in your life? I think the promotional material featuring Ash and Evelyn kinda ruined the twist, but you never know. Avoid that, and you pretty much think during the first half of the flick that Ash(ley) is gonna be one of the victims.

I never thought of there being any heroes in the first film. They're all Deadite fodder cowardly custards, lol.

So you never thought there would have been a survivor in the end I probably thought Ash would survive as I saw the second film first when I was 9 or 10 and the first film many years later. But heck, I don't think he did.

I have to agree, when I first saw it years and years ago, I honestly didn't think that Ash would turn out to be the lead. I think that twist though is one of the reasons that it was such a good movie.

I bought them all as a Trilogy, so yeah I knew...
I originally saw a clip of Army of Darkness as a kid though. The windmill scene.

I'm amazed they didn't break the camera, lol.

I'm amazed they didn't break the camera, lol. The International Cut features a longer chase scene (Apple vs Ash) which is one of the top 5 sequences of the entire franchise, from 1981 to 2016. Too bad the American Cut features a shorter version of the chase scene.
